Planning for our 2017 show is in full swing! We are very excited to be able to offer the following family-friendly entertainment for you to enjoy all weekend long:
Friday, September 8, 2017
Our rodeo slack performance starts at 4pm on Friday afternoon.
For those that aren't familiar with rodeo terminology, slack is an extra performance in which to run timed events (ladies barrel racing, steer wrestling, tie down roping and team roping).
Traditionally, these events have many more competitors than the roughstock events and therefore, in order to keep the actual rodeo to an enjoyable length but still allow any competitor who wishes to compete to do so, slack performances are often run throughout a rodeo weekend.

The 3rd Annual Medicine Lodge Fall Roundup kicks off at 2pm on Saturday afternoon!
Join us for an action packed afternoon that includes bareback, steer wrestling, saddle bronc, tie down roping, barrel racing, team roping and bull riding.
We are also offering sheep riding for the young buckaroos (6 & under) during intermission. If you are interested in entering your cowboy/cowgirl, entry details can be found under the Sunday Funday header at the bottom of this page.
The Roundup is excited to have Miss Rodeo Canada with us again this year. Ali Mullin will be spending the day on Saturday at the rodeo grounds and would love to meet you! Be sure to stop by and say hello.
After the rodeo action is done, we'd love for you to stick around! Our pig roast dinner was a huge success last year, and we are very excited to be bringing it back this year thanks to a very generous donation from Jason Hird Trucking! Dinner tickets will be on sale all day Saturday in the Gift Shop ($10/ticket). The dinner kicks off right after the rodeo and we will be serving food until 6pm.
What would dinner be without some music to help complete the western atmosphere? Edson's own Tyler Babiuk will be playing during dinner and into the evening for everyone's entertainment. Feel free to kick up your heels on the dance floor!
The Beer Gardens will be open all day Saturday from 12pm-12am, so don't be shy and come and see our wonderful bartenders for a beverage or two!
Sunday, September 10, 2017
Back again in 2017 is what we like to call Sunday Funday! We are happy to offer some of the fun local events that have become a staple for the spring rodeo as part of our fall show as well!
The action kicks off at 12pm on Sunday with 3 classes of Lawnmower Races (stock, modified and outlaw), followed by Wild Pony Races (teams of 3 kids aged 12 & under) and another addition of Sheep Riding (6 & under).
The Roundup is also excited to have added mini bronc riding to our Sunday program. Rank Mini Pony will be onsite to give spectators a miniaturized version of bronc riding that is sure to thrill.
Local event entries (including Sheep Riding on Saturday) will be taken August 26 & 27, 2017 from 9am-5pm. Please call Cassie @ 780-517-4715 to enter.
As with our ever popular spring amateur rodeo, we encourage our spectators to join us for the entire weekend!
Weekend camping is available for $10/unit
There are flush toilets and running water available as well as free firewood for all.
Our rodeo concession will be open Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and we are excited to be offering a pancake breakfast on Saturday and Sunday morning from 9am-12pm.
Rodeo admission prices are as follows:
